Parenting Through Divorce is a "resilience resource" designed to strengthen and sustain family processes during divorce. This program provides engaging, accessible and flexible online learning that will increase parents' knowledge and awareness of divorce-related factors that affect children.
In this three-module program, parents learn specific skills to:
- manage and reduce stress.
- manage and reduce conflict with their co-parent.
- rebuild their families.
- nurture their children during the transition.
In each session, parents:
- watch a short, realistic video that shows ineffective responses to common challenges and then models effective responses.
- are guided through a series of interactive learning activities based on the video models. Activities help parents master practical skills that are immediately useful.
- use self-assessments, journaling and structured home practice to adapt and personalize their new skills.
